1. The first step in raising cattle is to do a good job in cowshed construction

Build cowsheds that are warm in winter and cool in summer according to local conditions, and keep them insulated in winter to maintain a temperature above 5 ℃. Regularly clear feces every day, ventilate at noon, brush and wipe the cow's body, and regularly take it outside to bask in the sun to enhance physical fitness, which is beneficial for gaining weight.

2. Be sure to choose good breeding cattle

It is the key to obtain good benefits to select excellent breeds of cattle for breeding, because good breeds of cattle not only have good meat quality, fast growth, high feed returns, good appearance, but also have low incidence rate. We need to change the long-standing practice of progressive hybridization and actively introduce varieties such as Limousin and Ximendar for ternary hybridization, continuously improving the improvement effect and economic benefits. Don't think that local cattle are already very good and don't pay attention to breed improvement. Continuously improve the breeds you raise. When the price of cattle is high, breed improvement should be done. When the price of cattle is low, breed improvement should be done even more. If conditions permit, try to promote new technologies for frozen semen breeding. Especially, it should be noted that hybrid bulls should not be used for breeding, as although hybrid bulls have high body height and great power, their genetic stability is unstable, which can easily lead to inbreeding, offspring degeneration, and low economic benefits.

3. Scientific feeding

Cattle should try to eat delicious and full green grass as much as possible, while supplementing with other necessary nutritional feed.

Cattle can be raised with a small amount of lees or other weeds. If there is enough green grass, just feed the cows with green grass. If there is not much grass, you can add 2-3 kilograms of fine ingredients, including 60% corn flour and 30% wheat bran (soybean cake, cottonseed cake, rapeseed cake), and choose the same 10%. 30 cows need one pound of salt per day, and the cowshed should be disinfected every two weeks for regular prevention. After entering the pen, the cow starts deworming every week, with a four-day interval between the first and second times. The deworming net can be used to clear the area twice. Fattening period: Each cow needs 8-12 kilograms of grass and 3-5 kilograms of fine feed per day. In the later stage, top dressing requires 12-15 kilograms of grass and 5-7 kilograms of fine feed per day, with a 30% increase in green grass.
